Permanent artefacts from a temporary society

There is a complex system in place to produce specifically shaped packaging for singular, specific products—specifically shaped packaging that is discarded immediately upon receipt. This exemplifies the temporary culture in which we exist.

To visualize this concept, the artist created concrete molds of the single-use packaging, transforming these ephemeral items into permanent relics of our physical, temporary present. The use of concrete, a material known for its durability and weight, underscores this commentary. Ironically, while the concrete molds appear permanent, they are ultimately outlasted by the expanded polystyrene they replicate.
